Band-Aid Testimonies- A Creative Way for Kids to Show Others How Good God is

Are you looking for a way to help your child to talk about God with others? Try this simple idea.

Say to your child- What do you say when you see someone wearing a band-aid? You look at the hurt area and say, “What happened?”

When we share what God has done with others, that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re telling them what happened. This is a great way to encourage others and to strengthen our faith.

  1. Get a Band-Aid. (Cool designs optional…)
  2. With a pen, jot down one or two words that describe what God has done. (This could be anything- Math test. Dad’s job. Friends. Family. Safety. Healing…)
  3. Stick the band-aid in a spot where people can see it and your child can read what they wrote down. (hand, arm, leg)
  4. When friends ask, “What happened?”, your child can share their story.

This Band-Aid reminds me how thankful I am that God ________. (Insert testimony here- “helped my Dad to find a new job”, etc.)

The Bible tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from God.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

It is a joy to share His goodness with everyone we meet.

There are many benefits to raising grateful children.

How are you teaching your children to share their “good and perfect gifts from God” with others?

I would love to hear your creative ideas!

So, what do you think?
